ProStart Culinary & Job Readiness Program
A 14 week culinary arts and job readiness program for adults 18 and older. The ProStart Program was developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) and trains and prepares participants to obtain entry-level careers in the food service and hospitality industry.
Upon successful completion of the ProStart program, participants are awarded the National Restaurant Association Certificate of Completion, ServSafe Certification and ProStart Completion Certificates, these are all nationally recognized credentials, which will prove to set each of our graduates apart from others who are pursuing positions in the food industry.
Since its inception at HeartLove Place (“HLP”) in 2002, ProStart has graduated over 500 people from the program and has helped place 46% in industry-related jobs. Other graduates have gone on to open their own companies, advance their education further, and take positions in other industries. Orientations: Monday, August 22, 2016, 10am to 11:30am, Tuesday, August 23, 2016, 5:30pm to 7:00pm
Session 3 Class Begins: Monday, August 29, 2016 to December 6, 2016
